When Lockdown hit everything was up in the air. Like many others I had to reevaluated my plan of action which meant deciding a new daily timetable, new professional goal checkpoints but most importantly for me working out what I was going to create and how to stay motivated.
I have decided to keep the creative side very fluid and work on several projects at the same time so that I do not loose momentum and inspiration. One of these projects which started me off into a routine was creating animal splats. They were a fun challenge to get my brain thinking creatively and working out how textures can be incorporated in my more serious work. I made a splat and then created a random animal out of it.
I used minimal marks and overlays to achieve this as I wanted to spend not too long on them but still have effective and recognisable outcomes.
